As the Lapu-Lapu City Paz Radaza said during the press conference at MovenPick hotel after the Kadaugan sa Mactan 2012 Reenactment, this year the budget reduces because of the sponsors.

Kadaugan sa Mactan mean the The Winning of Mactan. This event would intend to showcase how Lapu-Lapu fights against to Magellan – leader of Spaniards that would try to own Mactan.

And this year, it was the 491^st anniversary of Kadaugan sa Mactan and the latest Mayor Paz Radaza will try to make it more lively, happy event.

To make it more lively, they have many events that they are trying to impose like Kadaugan sa Mactan Reenactment 2012, Rampada, live bands, and many more.
